TXA LABORER - SAN ANGELO

JOB SUMMARY

The TXA Laborer I is primarily tasked with sorting and separating materials and with general maintenance of the yard.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
2. Separate metals, which may require using a torch, and sort into the appropriate receptacles.
3. Direct customer traffic in the yard.
4. Assist the Greenbuilder department when requested.
5. Comply with company safety policies and with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
6. Maintain a clean work area.
7. Immediately report any safety violations or unsafe conditions.
8. Use a torch to separate metals.
9. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of some formal education
• At least six months of related experience
• Must have dependable transportation
• Willingness to work some weekends and holidays as requested or needed.
• Forklift Certification within 60 day of employment
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English
• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for products used in operations
• Basic math skills
• Ability to be forklift certified

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or its equivalent
